What is the Sectorum Ludus Bellorum?

On the Northern fringe of the Ultima Segmentum, just shy of the infamous Ghoul Stars, Sectorum Ludus Belorum is an isolated and sparsely populated region of the Galaxy, only made more so since the Great Rift. The lack of Imperial Authority in the Sectorum has long made it a haven for renegades, heretics and outcasts alike, offering both great reward and dire danger for those willing to take the risk. In this pocket of space, constant small struggles are fought between a huge variety of forces, cutting bloody swaths through the stars. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is unending war...  

In real terms, this blog represents the collaborative efforts of four Wargamers from Melbourne, Australia, with a passion for the Warhammer 40,000 lore and setting. The factions we build and games we play are built more around narrative and fun than competitive games, often drifting outside the GW rules and miniatures to fill out what we need or want to do. As this blog progresses, we'll build up our little Sectorum of the Galaxy, filling it with exciting characters and locales, telling stories and playing games. Shortly names like Kadmos the Heretek, Craftworld Namreb and Kill Team Aesir will be legends emblazoned across the stars... stay tuned!
